I am kinda cheating cause this painting is from a long time ago. I just realized it wasn’t on my old website. I made a few, all very large, black line drawings (with paint) on Canvas. I think they were about 4′ x 8′. I think I sold this to someone out of Rebel Rebel.
It’s my Grandpa either breaking down the wedding bells or putting them together. Maybe it’s better if you can’t tell they are bells… what the heck is he carving?
I like his mean looking wife beater, yet he is working on a soft feminine subject matter. He’s given, or going to give one of his daughters away at her wedding. The picture is from the inside of him and grandma’s trailer.
I was told this was probably my Aunty Dolly’s wedding.
